Hi everyone, welcome to my first post.

My name is Miguel García, I´m 21 years old, I was born in Santiago de Chile, I´m studying Chemistry and pharmacy at the university of Chile. I live with my parents and my brother. 

In my free time I usually watch different movies, play videogames with my friends or listen to music. Before quarantine, I practiced sports often, I played volleyball with my friends at school, they were really fun and exciting moments. In my summer vacations, I go to Caldera, I usually go to the same place every year, because my grandfather has a beautiful house there with nice views of the sea.



I also have a dog and a cat. I love them both very much. Here is a picture of my pets sleeping <3.

Post 8: A subjet you enjoyed studying

  My favorite subject, since the school, was chemistry. My first approach to chemistry was at school with a teacher I admire very much and she taught me a lot of things. When I went to a lab for the first time, I knew this was for me. Now, I enjoy every chemistry class I have, every day I learn new things and I enjoy every single one of them. In general, I like the subjects that the career I am studying has, and without a doubt, chemistry makes it much better.

Post 6: How can your mayor make the world a better place?

My specialty, chemistry and pharmacy is very important to the world, our main work as pharmaceutical chemists is focused on improving people's health, healing and curing diseases. As pharmaceutical chemists we can work in different areas, whether it is working in a pharmacy, in a warehouse distributing medicines or in a laboratory making them, etc. In the not too distant future, I hope to be an excellent pharmaceutical chemist, I would like to work in the elaboration of medicines from natural origin.

A photo and its story

  This is the photo I would like to talk about in this post. I took this picture in the summer two years ago. Every summer, with my family we usually go to the same place, a very relaxing place located in the north of the country. It is a beach that is not usually visited by many people, so I take the opportunity to be there and sleep there in the afternoons under the sun. I also take my dog with me and he has a lot of fun around the sea and chasing the seagulls. This photo has a meaning of peace and tranquility for me, a place where I can rest and get rid of the worries and stress that are always present in my life.
